Bread and Taxes

Well, the holidays are just about over. It was a quiet Christmas for us. Since we went to Missouri for Thanksgiving, we stayed here for Christmas and the kids were with their other families. Actually, it worked out fine because we are still busy as can be getting the store set up. As you can see, we have our sign up. Tomorrow the furniture will be delivered and then comes getting the computers and phones hooked up and running. Monday, Jan. 5 will be our first day with business hours. Our manager and I will be training the new employees on Policies and Procedures and the computer programs. We have a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on the 8th and the Grand Opening on the 10th. A few days after that we'll be doing taxes.

Jim is enjoying his new job. He's learning all about baking bread. It sure smells better than soybeans or sugar beets. He brings home some bread now and then (the baked kind and the green kind), which is nice.

Have a safe and happy New Year!
