Last weekend Jim and I went to a convention in Reno for the Roni Deutch Tax Centers. There were 2 days of meetings and plenty of time for play, as you can see from the pictures. The theme was "Surfing to Success". Roni Deutch is a huge surfing fan. The convention was held at the Peppermill Casino/hotel. That is one huge, fancy place. We didn't spend one penny gambling. We work too hard for our money to watch it disappear. We're still getting people coming in to get their back taxes done. Hope it stays consistent through the summer and fall. Right now it's just our manager, who does the taxes, and me (answering the phone, etc.). About once a week we have the young lady who was our receptionist during the tax season come in because she's Hispanic and can translate for us when we get Spanish-speaking clients. We hope to get a bilingual tax preparer or two for next season. It sure makes it easier.
